Now for the review:
The website is super user-friendly! It is very easy to navigate, even a child can do it! Talking about kids doing it, this is a perfect way for your kids to have choirs and do grocery shopping in a safe environment. If you have a teenager at home and are getting off work late he/she could do the shopping for you from the safety of their room. The website is divided into tabs from fruit and vegetables to spices and meat. It even features a tab dedicated to different diets. Every food item has a photo as well as review section. You can subscribe for deliveries or simply make a one-off purchase. Everything on the Milk and Eggs website is made with you (the user) in mind!In the spirit of my New Year’s resolution to eat healthy and lose weight, I’m sharing my review of a LA-based grocery delivery service called Milk and Eggs. When I was approached by them to do this review I was on board from the start. I mean who doesn’t enjoy fresh and local produce delivered to their doorstep?
I ordered a $100 worth of food that included fruit, vegetables, pasta, and meat amongst other stuff (see the list below). The quality was outstanding, and you can tell the difference in taste from the get-go; the food is NON-GMO, fresh and organic. The strawberries we purchased looked and tasted like strawberries; not a pink gigantic styrofoam that I normally find at our local store. With my New Year’s decision to eat healthy looming over me like a judgmental demigod, this website came like a dash of fresh air. Now I can make sure to have farm to table food delivered weekly; I pretty much have no excuse not to eat healthy. Additionally, Milk and Eggs cuts out distribution centers completely and drives directly to the farm and gathers the goods themselves. In other words, your produce is coming straight from the farm and you know it is fresh, compared to supermarket items that could be sitting on the shelf for days before being purchased.
Considering that $100 will get you 3 grapes and 1 slice of bread at Whole Foods, 2 bags of organic produce seem like a bargain. Granted you could get slightly more than that at Walmart but why do that to yourself? What I noticed is that using Milk and Eggs saves me money; not only because of the time and gas I’m not spending shopping, but also because they don’t charge things like a ‘’stocking fee’’ and ‘’membership’’ fee like some supermarkets do! Plus, delivery is FREE on orders over $35!
The groceries were delivered early morning at 6 AM which is awesome because we could get them sorted before leaving to work. The bags used for delivery are reusable and insulated with ice packs. It was so nice to open the door to find our groceries waiting for us! We even got a free magnet! However, you don’t have to worry, delivery is not random. Once you complete your order and before the payment is done, you have an option to select the delivery date and time that suits you best and leave the instructions for the delivery guy if needed.
Love it, love it, love it! Let’s just say Milk and Eggs gained a permanent customer! I warmly recommend trying them out. Do it for yourself, your family and your nerves! Farm to table shopping was never easier and more affordable!
