HOW TO MAKE YOUR HAIR LOOK LIKE A MILLION BUCKS? READ THIS!

April 30, 2017

A couple of weeks ago I received my first Hask Hair products. I was so excited to try them out and let you guys know what I think of them. The HASK company was so kind to send me one of their newest product to try out. The box included the following: shampoo, conditioner and the hair mask. If you haven’t heard, HASK is a collection of hair care products featuring exotic oils and other unique ingredients from around the world. Rest assured, all their products – Shampoos, Conditioners and Shine Oils – are free of sulfates, parabens, drying alcohols, phthalates, gluten, and artificial colors (which are known to damage your scalp and hair).

Dry and hot climate can really wreak havoc on your hair. My hair consistently fights against hot California temperatures and my busy lifestyle.  On top of that, like loads of ladies out here, I dye my hair every month.  Since the start of the mermaid hair craze, I feel my hair has been damaged more than normal. Even after steamy showers and loads of TLC, my dyed hair continues to feel dry and frizzy.

With that said, I was so glad to be introduced to the Orchid & White Truffle series. My dry hair doesn’t stand a chance against this new Collection from HASK. The moisture-rich shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner re-hydrate and add shine to my hair, which instantly improved the look and feel of my dull hair and locks. Formulated with luxurious orchid extract sourced from Belgium and white truffles from the South of France, the collection drenches parched and overworked hair with strengthening proteins to re-balance and restore. Great thing is that it is formulated for all hair types. The products in this three-piece collection are packed with replenishing nutrients and concentrated amino acids so you can soak up the richness of these rare ingredients – making for a truly indulgent shower experience! I noticed an immediate difference in softness, shine and overall condition of my hair after just one use which was quite exceptional.

So why Orchid and White Truffle? Using orchids for hair treatments was inspired from findings showing the flower's mysterious capacity for immortality, beauty, and its versatility to adjust to different environments with vibrant color. Orchid cell membranes contain a longevity molecule allowing for this eternal quality. In short, as the plant cells age, they continue to act as if they were brand new. Orchids extracts affect hair moisture and shine on various hair types (dry, oily, frizzy and curly), and it improves hair color retention. After multiple tests, an orchid extract was found to provide the hair with the ability to hold moisture and control frizz, which in turn gives hair a high shine and the capacity to hold the desired hairstyle all day long. On the other hand, essential fatty acids in truffles provide plenty of nutrients while acting to penetrate your skin so you’ll have a natural radiant glow. Plus, the musky fragrance will make you feel sensual and sophisticated. I am simply infatuated with the smell of my hair after using the Hask Orchid and White Truffle collection. Most products with truffle in them are a little pricey, but a little bit goes a long way. It’s definitely worth paying the extra money.

How to use?

Orchid & White Truffle Moisture Rich Shampoo:  Apply to wet hair. Massage into a lather, rinse thoroughly and repeat if desired. Ideal for daily use.

Orchid & White Truffle Moisture Rich Conditioner: Apply to wet hair. Leave on for 1-2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Ideal for daily use.

Orchid & White Truffle Moisture Rich Deep Conditioner: Apply a generous amount of deep conditioner to clean, wet hair. Massage into hair focusing on damaged areas. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse well. Style as usual. Ideal for use 1-2 times per week, or as needed. For best results, use the HASK Orchid & White Truffle collection.

I can’t stress enough how much softness and slick my hair has regained after using this intense conditioner. I believe I have found the ‘’IT’’ factor that my hair needed to restore moisture and smooth out damaged, over-processed dyed hair. If you look at the ingredients, this is really an all-star power-packed product!

Best parts about this product?

I’m big on fragrances, so if the product smells good, it’s a huge bonus. Personally speaking, it’s my deciding factor as to whether I would continue to use the product for the long-term or not. Let me tell you, these products exude an incredible scent.

Haircare Tip: To avoid damage to frizzy hair, dry your hair with a towel, and allow the strands to dry without blow drying. Heat can often cause further long-term damage to the hair.

How much they cost and where to find them?

They are drugstore products, so they are very affordable (entire set cost around 14$). You can find them at Walmart, Ulta Beauty, Kmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS etc.

Hopefully you will find my review of Hask Hair’s newest collection

useful and it helps you choose a product that works for you. With that in mind, I will leave you for now with a FUN FACT: HASK is used on more film and TV sets than any other hair care brand! These film and TV sets include, but are not limited to the following: Criminal Minds, Scream Queens, Modern Family, and How To Get Away With Murder.
