To promote its travel service, railway company SNCF teamed up with ad agency TBWA Paris to create an ad campaign that sends pedestrians to multiple European cities—simply by opening a door.
By "opening a door" containing a custom-made digital screen, French pedestrians were able to play with a mime in Milan, have their portraits drawn in Brussels, dance with a hip-hop crew in Barcelona, share a romantic boat ride on Geneva Lake, and join a group of young Germans on a bike ride across Stuttgart. The video compilation of these events has recently been launched as the brand's latest online and cinema commercial, adding to the company's previously published outdoor media campaign. In an overly saturated travel market, SNCF has discovered an intresting way to get their message across and capture the imagination of the audience. As a PR proffesional I am absolutely blown away by this remarkable campaign to bring people closer and tickle the imagination of its potential users.
What are your thoughts on the video above? Would you use SNCF to discover Europe?
